SALINAS, CA, February 24, 2011: Skip Barber Racing School, the world leader in auto racing education and entertainment, has discontinued their motorcycle racing school. Launched in 2008, the program held exclusively at their Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca location will no longer be available for 2011. The school, offered in a two day format, educated riders with racing instruction from top level riders at the famous 2.23 mile road course. In its last year the school provided students with European Superbikes to learn proper racing techniques like trail-braking, threshold braking, throttle application and the correct racing line. “The program was a great success in 2010,” said Kyle Morham, Senior Manager Sales and Marketing, “however, we determined Skip Barber Racing School must remain focused. Despite customer demand and consistently positive feedback, the continuation of a motorcycle program is not in line with our company’s strategy for the future. We are focused on racing and car control education on four wheels”. Customers registered for 2011 dates will receive a refund or apply their credit towards other Skip Barber Racing School programs.
