Altus Motorsports signs Austin Phillips for 2019 MotoAmerica “Twins Cup”
(Altus, OK) Altus Motorsports Team is proud to announce signing of Austin Phillips, the speedster from Mooresville, North Carolina. Phillips is fresh off winning the CVMA Supersport Middleweight Championship, which he did in commanding fashion with nine race wins and 18 podium finishes.
“It’s important for Altus Motorsports to contend for the Twins Cup Championship. We had an amazing Twins Cup season in 2018, and we are looking for Phillips to do just that on the Altus Factory Racing MT-07 Yamaha,” said George Nassaney, Team Owner.
MotoAmerica Twins Cup competition will be Phillips’ professional debut and he should fit perfectly into Altus’s Motorsports Team structure for 2019, after serving four years in the United States Navy.
“Having the opportunity to ride for Altus is a dream come true. It has always been a dream of mine to race at the professional level, and I know that by riding for Altus great things will come of this season. The MotoAmerica grid will be a big step up for me, but I cannot wait for the season to kick off,” said Austin Phillips.
