More Twins Cup And Stock 1000 On Tap For MotoAmerica 2019

Extra Races Scheduled For Both Classes

COSTA MESA, CA (November 27, 2018) – MotoAmerica has announced that Twins Cup and Stock 1000 racers will take to the grid 11 times for the classes’ sophomore seasons of racing in the 2019 MotoAmerica Series.

Last year the Twins Cup Series consisted of nine races with the Stock 1000 class lining up eight times. For 2019, both will get the opportunity to compete in 11 races.

“We were pleased with the two new classes last year,” said MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey. “Twins Cup and Stock 1000 were well represented and both classes were growing at each of the races in 2018. We are looking forward to competitive racing in each class and we are happy that we can give these guys more track time and more opportunities to race in the coming season.”

The new schedule will see the Twins Cup race twice at the opening round at Road Atlanta (April 5-7) and twice at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex (August 23-25) round. The Stock 1000 class will race twice at the Road America round (May 31-June 2) and the season finale at Barber Motorsports Park (September 20-22). The two classes will race once at the remaining rounds with the exception of the MotoAmerica round at Circuit of The Americas, which is a Superbike-only event.
