Omega Moto signs Cam Petersen for 2019 MotoAmerica Superbike season

ROSEVILLE, Calif.– We are pleased to announce that Cameron Petersen is set to join the Omega Moto team for the 2019 MotoAmerica season. Petersen will campaign the team’s Yamaha YZF-R1 package in MotoAmerica’s Superbike Class.

Petersen brings a positive attitude to the team and the drive for results. With Petersen coming off of riding the Honda in 2018 he brings a different perspective to the team and a kind of hunger that the team is looking for.

“First of all, I just want to give a massive shout out to Ken for giving me this amazing opportunity to ride for his team. I’m extremely excited to be working with a team like Omega, I’m looking forward to being able to grow with them as a team and I believe we will be able to accomplish great things in 2019 with the package we have. Now it’s just about the hurry up and wait game for the 2019 season to start but I can’t wait to swing my leg over the Omega Moto Yamaha R1 and see what we can do with it.”

“We are extremely excited announce that Cam Petersen will be riding our Yamaha R1 for entire 2019 MotoAmerica season,” said Omega Moto Team Principal Ken Chewey. “Cam brings a drive and positive mind set to our team, and we are looking forward to working with him. I believe Cam’s hunger and open mindedness are just what we need to move the team forward in terms of our on-track performance.”

Petersen and the team are looking forward to pre-season testing in the coming months and look forward to a long relationship. To get all updates throughout winter testing and throughout the 2019 season follow the team on Instagram and Facebook @omegamoto.co
