2018 AIMExpo Presented by Nationwide Set to Bring the Powersports Industry Together in Las Vegas

Nearly 500 Exhibitors Ready to Introduce the Newest Products to the Marketplace at North America’s Premier Powersports Show

IRVINE, Calif. (October 8, 2018) – In just a matter of days, the doors of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in fabulous Las Vegas will open to welcome thousands of powersports trade members, dealers, media and consumers for the annual American International Motorcycle Expo presented by Nationwide (AIMExpo). The west coast debut of North America’s premier trade show for the motorcycle and powersports industry will welcome nearly 500 exhibitors from around the world on October 11-14, where hundreds of new vehicles and products from a global collection of companies will be introduced to the marketplace, highlighted by several worldwide and domestic debuts.

The Motorcycle Industry Council produced AIMExpo presented by Nationwide is the anchor of the inaugural Powersports Industry Week?, a truly unique celebration of motorcycling and the greater powersports marketplace created in an effort to bring the industry together in recognition of the three core pillars that drive motorcycling as a whole – lifestyle, business, and racing. In partnership with the annual Las Vegas BikeFest (October 11-14), Feld Entertainment’s Monster Energy Cup (October 13) and the Las Vegas Ride for Kids charity ride (October 14), Powersports Industry Week? will bring upwards of 100,000 motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country to Las Vegas for the ultimate celebration of two, three and four-wheeled vehicles.

With the buzz generated by Powersports Industry Week?, AIMExpo presented by Nationwide has already reached historic levels of dealer registration. Collectively, there will be a representation of dealers from all 50 states and Puerto Rico along with 45 different countries, all of whom will have the opportunity to enhance their business at no cost through the new Dealer Summit, a key initiative focused on supporting the powersports retailer.

Attending dealers will be joined by thousands of fellow trade members, in addition to hundreds of media publications from around the world and countless consumers from Las Vegas and beyond. All of these attendees will converge both inside on the 98% soldout showfloor as well as at the 400,000 square foot dedicated outdoor demo space that is AIMExpo Outdoors!

In total, more than 20 manufacturers like BRP/Can-Am, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Indian, Kawasaki, Polaris Slingshot, Roxor, Suzuki, Triumph, Vanderhall Motorworks, Yamaha and more will be exhibiting at AIMExpo presented by Nationwide, all combining to showcase the most diverse collection of new motorcycles, scooters, side-by-sides, ATVs, snowmobiles and watercraft in North America. They will share the spotlight alongside two of the industry’s most prominent distributors of gear, parts and aftermarket products. Both Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties and Tucker are household names to any powersports enthusiast, each renowned for their partnerships with some of the marketplace’s most high profile companies and products. At AIMExpo presented by Nationwide, the Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties portfolio of AMS, Arctiva, Icon, Moose, Slippery, Thor and Z1R will all be represented with the newest gear and protective wear for the dirt, street, snow and water. Additionally, Tucker’s expansive lineup of Answer, Biker’s Choice, BikeMaster, Dragonfire, First Gear, Kuryakyn, Mustang, Performance Machine, ProTaper, QuadBoss, Renthal, Roland Sands Design, Speed and Strength, Twin Power, Vance & Hines, and more, will also be on hand with parts, apparel and accessories for virtually every segment of the marketplace.

Additionally, the debut of MotoCulture will provide an opportunity for attendees to get a first-hand experience of the increasingly popular trend of community-based dealerships. This all-new lifestyle feature was designed to embrace the essential elements of motorcycle culture and community, through a unique showcase that focuses on the machines, the people, and the companies behind them. Visitors will be able to grab an adult beverage at the Race-Driven Roadhouse or enjoy a jolt of caffeine at Espresso Lane presented by Nationwide as they peruse a curated collection of custom machines and check out the array of hand-crafted products made by artisans.

At AIMExpo Outdoors!, a fleet of new motorcycle models and autocycles will be available for demo rides from eight participating manufacturers – Harley-Davidson, Honda, Indian, Kawasaki, Polaris Slingshot, SSR Motorsports / Benelli USA, Vanderhall and Yamaha. While attendees can swing their leg over any number of unique two-wheeled models they find appealing, for the first time ever they’ll have the chance to also test out products from the growing three-wheeled autocycle segment, in two distinctly different ways. First-time exhibitor Vanderhall will allow attendees to buckle in and take one of their hand-crafted, American-roadster influenced models on a test drive, while Polaris will offer a true one-of-a-kind experience for brave passengers willing to take on the Slingshot Joyride, a professional drift session.

Festivities for the sixth running of AIMExpo presented by Nationwide will kick off on Thursday, October 11, with a keynote address from the Department of Interior’s Senior Advisor for Recreation, Rick May, focusing on the current administration’s commitment to increased outdoor recreation, which serves as a critical area of long-term growth potential for powersports. From there, a pair of exclusive trade days will provide a platform for new products to be introduced before opening the doors to the public over the weekend, beginning on Saturday, October 13. The show culminates with “Suzuki Sunday” on October 14, where the first 300 attendees will receive a commemorative gift. Additionally, the factory racing rigs of MotoAmerica’s Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing team and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing supercross/motocross effort will be on hand for rig tours. To top it all off, MotoAmerica racers Toni Elias and Roger Hayden will be joined by supercross/motocross racers Weston Peick and Chad Reed for a special autograph session. Attendees won’t want to miss out on the opportunity to say their farewells to Hayden, who recently brought his racing career to a conclusion.
