Dear Sir,
According to the Sporting Rules of the 2018 FIM Europe – Moto2™ European Championship
Regulations and the FIM Disciplinary and Arbitration Code we confirm the sanction that has been inflicted upon you.
Motive
On Saturday 29th September 2018, during the random checks after Qualifying Practice 2, your fuel pressure was being above the limit (57,6 psi) and being considered an infringement of the Article 2.2 of the FIM CEV Repsol Moto2™ European Championship Technical Regulations.
Hearing
You were required to attend a hearing with the Race Direction. You attended the hearing and acknowledged the facts exposed to you.
Sanction
For the above reason the Race Direction has decided to penalize with the disqualification of the Qualifying Practice 2 and imposed on you a grid penalty of 12 places in the Race.
Right of Appeal
According to Art. 3.4.2.2; 3.4.11; 3.4.13 of the 2018 FIM Disciplinary and Arbitration Code, you have the right to appeal against this decision in front of FIM Europe within 30 minutes from the date and time of receipt of the decision by the appellant, paying the security deposit of 1320 €.

EDGAR PONS WILL LOOK FOR A NEW VICTORY FROM POLE POSITION
Benny Solís will start from fifth row of the grid
The Angel Nieto Jerez Circuit is the scene of another round of the FIM CEV Repsol this weekend, after another long break. Edgard Pons is fresh, as he took part a few days ago in the Aragon World Championship race. Meanwhile, Benny has had time to recover from his back injury and this weekend he will be able to check his situation. He was not able to take part in Motorland some weeks ago, but for tomorrow, everything looks positive.
Edgar Pons still has chances to be again European Champion, in his fight with another former champion, current leader Jesko Raffin. The championship will be decided between them. The Catalan rider of the Argiñano & Ginés Racing Team will look for his third victory of the season, which would be his third consecutive win. At the track he narrowly missed the pole position, but he achieved it in the offices due to irregularities with Héctor Garzó’s bike (who was sent back to the 13th position); although at all times the AGR rider had enough pace to win.
Moto2 #57 Edgar Pons –Kalex / 2nd / 1.42.526 (+0.0013s): “It was a positive day, we got the pole – though on track I didn’t take by thousandths of a second – and the time is very competitive. In the World Championship we’d be in the top 15. I think that my pace is the best and the race can be very good. In the afternoon, with a bit more heat, we did some test that convinced us that the best set up was the one in the first practice. I’m going to try and keep my head during the race and get some margin. I will go out to win, we’ll fight to achieve another win for the AGR team”.
Moto2 #35 Benny Solís –Kalex / 15th / 1.45.648 (+3.122s): “It was a good day, which start with electrical problems in the first Qualifying. It surprised us, we lost part of the session, with all the pressure that means. But between sessions, we found a solution and in the second session there was no problem. The team did a great job and the bike went one. Physically, I’m fine, not at 100%, but I know that I can do a good race. During the second timed session I felt some pain in some moments and I know that my fast lap could have been better. I’m going to focus on doing my best in the race and try to be consistent, I feel physically well, I think I could fight for the top10. Thanks to the team”.
