Mesa Fastest at VIR, Breaks Lap Record

Stefano Mesa set a new lap record today during his second of three laps of the ASRA Superstock qualifying session on his Pirelli shod, 2018 BMw S1000RR. Mesa’s fastest time of 1:25.872 beat the record previously set by Geoff May on September 18, 2016, of 1:26.526. Mesa was excited to set another lap record this year and is pleased with the new ride. “Breaking the track record is one thing. But, breaking it with fast friends is better,” he stated.
