AGR signs Benny Solis for the FIM CEV Moto2 Championship

Benny Solis is the latest addition to AGR’s Moto2 team for the FIM CEV Moto2 Championship. Alongside Benny Solis is Edgar Pons, the Spanish rider who claimed the title in 2015.

Late in 2017, Solis was testing in Spain for AGR at Valencia Circuit. What originally was only a test, quickly resulted in an opportunity to race for Spanish team. As of today, Benny Solis has signed and will carry the American flag in the European Series!

The AGR Team is optimistic in their Moto2 lineup, Edgar Pons who brings a lot of experience from the world championship to the team and Benny Solis for the potential he demonstrated during his first test aboard a Moto2.

Kepa Burutxaga (Team manager):

“For Benny, we had the opportunity to work together in a test of 2017 and we were pleasantly surprised! As young as he is, he has accumulated a lot of experience with several bikes and categories in his professional career. We wish for a strong start to the season and to enjoy the great duo that Edgar and Benny can be.”

Anscari Nadal (Technical director):

“I have known Benny since he was 11, I helped him during his 125cc days back in America, then the Red Bull Rookies cup and later with the 600cc. Benny is very mature for his age, he has a lot of technical knowledge which helps a lot in testing for feedback. I am very happy for Benny, his family and for the AGR Team, I can’t wait to see him in the first race!”

“I’m very thankful to Anscari and AGR for that one day test, it meant a lot to me. I’ve dreamt of racing a Moto2 bike so to sign with the AGR Team feels amazing! Since I was 10 my goal has been to race in the world championship and now, with AGR, we have the opportunity. I cant wait to get out there and start racing! All the sacrifices from my family were for a shot like this, many other people have supported me along the way so I am excited to make you all proud.”
