CCS And CRA Racing This Coming Weekend At Brainerd International Raceway

This coming weekend, June 14-16, the Central Roadracing Association (CRA) will host a combined event with Championship Cup Series (CCS) at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, Minnesota. The track is located 2.5 hours northwest of Minneapolis, via highway MN 371. This will be the first time the CRA/CCS combined event will run the 3.1 mile, ten turn, Donnybrooke course as they compete in a wide variety of classes.

Gates open Thursday and CRA wristbands will be available from 6:30-8 p.m. Starting on Friday there is full day practice and new racer school. Tech and registration will be open beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Saturday the action kicks off with a full slate of classes for racers to compete in. After the main races are over the pitbike race will take place on the go-kart track at 6:45 p.m. with over $500 in prizes available in multiple categories.

Sunday, the action continues for the twin sprint weekend with the second running of every class. The races get underway with the first green flag dropping at 10:00 a.m.

The American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA) is the parent organization to the Championship Cup Series (CCS), the largest amateur motorcycle road racing organization in the United States issuing over 2800 licenses per year. ASRA promotes eight AMA sanctioned Sprint Series and seven AMA sanctioned Team Challenge road racing events for 2018. The CCS Series sanctions 40 events at popular tracks around the United States, including Daytona International Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Homestead Miami Speedway, Road America, New Jersey Motorsports Park and Virginia International Raceway among other fine venues.
