Fan favorite Danny Eslick is returning to the MotoAmerica
series to ride a BARTCON Racing/Farrell Performance Kawasaki ZX-6R in the
Supersport races May 31-June 2 at Road America.

“That’s the plan,” Eslick told Roadracingworld.com in a telephone
interview. “I got the bright idea to call Jason Farrell and see if he was going
to race or not race or what the deal was, and he thought it was a great idea
for me to jump on his motorcycle. And it just kind of rolled from there. So I’m
going to ride Jason’s [Kawasaki] 636 at Road America.”

For the last several years Eslick has raced 1000cc machines
in MotoAmerica, most recently on the Scheibe Racing BMW S1000RR in 2018, the
TOBC Yamaha YZF-R1 in 2017 and 2016, and both the Turbo Turtle Racing Honda
CBR1000RR and Aprilia HSBK Racing RSV4 in 2015. But Eslick has plenty of
experience on middleweight motorcycles.

In addition to winning two AMA Pro Daytona SportBike
Championships (one on a Buell 1125R and one on a Suzuki GSX-R600), Eslick has
won the Daytona 200 four times: on a Triumph Daytona 675R in 2014, on a Suzuki
GSX-R600 in 2015, and on a Yamaha YZF-R6 in 2017 and 2018. Eslick has also won
two AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson XR1200 titles.

The only thing Eslick seemingly hasn’t done in his career is
race a Kawasaki ZX-6R.

“It’s still just two wheels, a brake, and a throttle. It’s
just another motorcycle,” said Eslick. “It’ll still be a learning curve in the
first couple of sessions, especially because all of the top guys in the class
already have their stuff figured out at this point, but I think Jason’s bikes
are going to be plenty capable of getting up there. We’ll be alright.”

Farrell told Roadracingworld.com that as of right now this
will be a one-event deal with Eslick, but if the new collaboration attracts some
new sponsorship funding he may continue to field Eslick in more MotoAmerica
rounds in 2019.
