MV AGUSTA REPARTO CORSE CLOSES THE PARTNERSHIP WITH VAMAG IN WORLDSSP. AYRTON BADOVINI AND RAFFAELE DE ROSA WILL BE THE NEW RIDERS

The Italian squad welcomes the new riders Raffaele De Rosa and Ayrton Badovini, ready to start this new WorldSSP season along with the Team Vamag support. The new WorldSSP team’s name will be MV Agusta Reparto Corse by Vamag.

Born in 1986, World Champion STK1000 in 2010, Ayrton Badovini is a rider with a solid experience, which set aside 22 podiums during his WorldSBK, WorldSSP and STK1000 seasons. The rider from Biella will be joined by his fellow countryman Raffaele De Rosa (born in Naples in 1987), a very talented and experienced rider who also won the STK1000 World Championship in 2016.

The all Italian duo will get familiar with the MV Agusta F3 675 machine today and tomorrow, during the winter test in Cartagena.

Ayrton Badovini – “I feel reborn, the realization of this opportunity gives me a strong boost for the new season. Feeling involved by an official team, with top staff and top technical conditions, it turns on that enthusiasm and that fighting spirit that I hadn’t felt for a while. It seems I am back to 2010, when I won the STK1000 world title. We will work hard, especially in the winter tests, and we will try to be with the best riders since the first race in Australia. Thanks to the whole MV Agusta family, to Andrea Quadranti and Gianfranco Crosta for the trust they gave me”.

Raffaele De Rosa – “It is an honor for me to represent the official MV Agusta brand in WorldSSP. Although I would have liked to continue another season in WorldSBK, when I received the call from the Team, I have immediately said yes. The F3 has always been among the top bikes of this class and the team is working on several technical improvements that we will soon test. I am more than motivated and I cannot wait to try the bike on the track. Thanks to Andrea Quadranti, Giovanni Castiglioni and Gianfranco Crosta for this wonderful opportunity “.

Gianfranco Crosta: “I wish to thank MV Agusta and in particular the MV Agusta Reparto Corse for the trust placed in our team. This expanded group will be able to work in harmony with those who have already worked on the project in the past, with the clear intention of being among the top contenders for next season”.

Andrea Quadranti: “We are delighted with this partnership with the Vamag team, our common intent is to make the F3 even more competitive and allow the riders to fight for the top positions.”
