DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 18, 2019) – American Flat Track announced today its newest event sponsor – Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. – naming the OEM the Entitlement Sponsor of the 2019 Yamaha Atlanta Short Track presented by Cycle Gear. AFT roars back onto the Georgia clay of Dixie Speedway on Saturday, March 23.

The Atlanta-based motorsports powerhouse will be an imposing force within AFT for 2019. Estenson Racing – backed by Yamaha – fields a total of five of the sport’s strongest riders, all on Yamaha machines. JD Beach, Jake Johnson and Kolby Carlile all pilot the newly-revealed Yamaha MT-07 DT, while Ryan Wells and Dallas Daniels field the wildly popular Yamaha YZ450F.

This event sponsorship marks Yamaha’s first partnership with the American Flat Track series.

“We are thrilled to have Yamaha on board as the Title Sponsor for the Atlanta Short Track,” said Cameron Gray, COO of AFT Events. “Dixie Speedway produces some of the best racing on the circuit, and it happens to be right in Yamaha’s backyard. We look forward to growing this partnership and creating an even better experience for our fans in Woodstock, GA.”

Fans attending the Yamaha Atlanta Short Track can look forward to local Yamaha dealership activations with the latest Yamaha machinery on display.

“Yamaha is very excited to be on board as title sponsor of the 2019 Atlanta Short Track round,” said Steve Nessl, Motorsports Marketing Manager for Yamaha. “American Flat Track has been an excellent proving ground for rider talent, and it’s the perfect showcase for the diversity of our YZ and MT motorcycles – we look forward to watching Yamaha riders battle for top spots in our own backyard.”
