Kawasaki signs young racing talent Robert Schotman

The MTM Kawasaki Team has just contracted young Dutch racing talent Robert Schotman (18). Schotman will participate in 2018 World Supersport 300 championship on the all new Ninja 400 alongside team mate Scott Deroue.

Despite his young age, Schotman already has more than twelve years of racing experience, including several Dutch and European titles. Last season he also made a big impression in the debut season of the WSS 300 championship with multiple podium finishes.

Robert Schotman:

“I am incredibly happy with the opportunity to ride for Kawasaki. Last season the MTM Kawasaki Team has proven to be a serious candidate for the world title with Scott Deroue. I cannot wait to ride the all new Ninja 400 for the first time!”

Ludo van der Veken (Team Manager MTM):

“Robert is a very talented rider with a great mentality. Signing him will give a great boost to his confidence and motivation to grow even further. Furthermore we are happy to already have our team complete, which gives us the opportunity to fully prepare for next season.”
