American electric motorcycle manufacturer Alta Motors has hired race official Dan Johnsen as Regional Sales Manager for its Mid-West region.

Johnsen has worked for MotoAmerica as a technical inspector and grid official since 2015, and he is also currently the Director of Flat Track for the ESPN X Games. Johnsen served as Director of Flat Track for AMA Pro Racing from 2010 to 2015 and as Chief Technical Inspector for AMA Pro Racing from 2009 to 2010. Prior to becoming a race official, Johnsen worked with the 4 & 6 Racing and Safety First Racing race teams.

Johnsen starts in his new position on November 20, 2017. He will be based near Chicago, Illinois.
