2017 WERA GRAND NATIONA FINALS!
The 45th Annual WERA Grand National Finals will kick off November 2nd through 5th at Barber Motorsports Park outside of Birmingham, AL. This event crowns champions in the invitational winner take all WERA Sportsman Series, in the Point Championships based Pirelli/WERA National Challenge Series which features the Michelin/WERA Superbike Class, the Point Championships in the WERA National Vintage Series.
This year the Yamaha bLU cRU R3 Challenge will also crown their Champion with the Expert winner being awarded a new Yamaha R6 for next season. Expert and Novice riders qualified by running two WERA E Superstock races on a Yamaha R3 during the 2017 season with the last qualifier running on Friday at the GNF.
Being a fully co-sanctioned AMA Affiliate in 2018 makes the AMA Road Race Grand Championships a welcome addition to this year’s GNF. The AMA RRGC is open to any rider with a current AMA Membership and valid motorcycle Roadracing license with any of the Sanctioning Bodies across the US. There are classes offered on both Saturday and Sunday for these Championships and the rider showing the most promise to represent the US in the motorcycle Roadracing arena will be awarded the 2017 Nicky Hayden Horizon Award.
We urge everyone to come out and be a part of this action packed weekend. Camping is available and spectator tickets will be sold at the main gate for $40.00 for Thursday through Sunday; $30.00 for Friday through Sunday; $25.00 for Saturday/Sunday and $20.00 for Sunday only. All Rider/Crew credentials will be $40.00.
