ZARS Shootout And Rider Challenge Race Results From High Plains Raceway

Deer Trail, CO – Zalusky Advanced Riding School and Track Days (ZARS) recently held its Shootout and Rider Challenge Championship Series at High Plains Raceway in Colorado, August 12-13.

The event was held on the full course with over 2.5 miles of challenging turns and elevation changes. The Shootout Series attracted top racers from the Motorcycle Racing Association, including Nyles Gourlie and Jim Wilson as well as 2016 Central Roadracing Association Expert Champion, Kyle Ohnsorg. The series stop was presented by Imperial Sportbike of Denver and awarded over $500 in cash prizes to the top finishers in each of the classes.

From the green to the checkered flag, Nyles Gourlie had a strong lead to win on August 12 for the GP 3/4 Expert. On August 12, Jim Wilson dominated to take the win for GP 3/4 Expert.

In the Novice ranks, Kyle Franz had a stellar performance to take back-to-back wins for the GP 1/2 Novice with his team mate and father, Jeff Franz taking second place.

ZARS continues to broaden the riding opportunities with the Rider Challenge for experienced Track Day riders. In GP 3/4, Joel Nelson took the win on August 12 and James Etie took the checkered flag on August 13.

ZARS returns to the Midwest to Brainerd International Raceway on Monday, September 4.
