The winner has been named in a raffle of a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 400 racebike/track day project bike to benefit the not-for-profit Roadracing World Action Fund’s work buying, deploying, and maintaining soft barriers made by Airfence and Alpina.

During a video streamed-live on December 25, David Hildebrand of Texas was chosen as the winner of the raffle and the Kawasaki Ninja 400.

In addition to the motorcycle, Hildebrand received a voucher for a free set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 tires from Metric Devil Moto; a free number plate from DrippinWet.com; a voucher for a free track day with Evolve GT; a service credit towards free labor from Mad 4 Motorsports; a 15% off coupon on parts and accessories from Powersports East; and all the original street parts and hardware removed from the Ninja 400.

The day before the winning ticket was drawn, a check in the amount of $1,250 (the proceeds from the raffle) was sent to the Roadracing World Action Fund to help purchase, deploy, and maintain Airfence soft barriers at racetracks across America.

The raffle was organized by Michael Dean, of MAD 4 Motorsports in Delaware, and Dee Ridgeway, of Predictive Analytics Group in Delaware, two friends who originally met while riding their motorcycles and later started doing business together.

Entries into the raffle came with the purchase of a $40 package of decals and discount offers from the project bike’s sponsors, which included: Bauce Racing, Superbike Unlimited, Hustle Hard Racing Performance, and Iconic Motorbikes.

“Everyone has been pretty excited about the Xmas Day announcement,” Ridgeway wrote in an e-mail to Roadracingworld.com. “A lot of activity picking up over the last week. We have gotten/received a lot of positive feedback and are considering moving forward with another bike build for 2020–a [Kawasaki] ZX-10R–but we still need to work out the details and determine demand to see if it’s feasible.”
