Alex Briggs is Valentino Rossi’s longest-serving technician, along with fellow mechanic Bernard Ansiau. The pair have worked with the seven-time 500cc GP/MotoGP World Champion ever since he graduated to the premier-class at the end of 1999.
Briggs is a former motocross racer who started his long-spanned career working on dirt bikes. He got his first road racing job with Rothmans Honda rider Daryl Beattie in 1993 and joined Mick Doohan’s crew in 1994, working with the Aussie until he retired in 1999.
