Speedweek and Northern Talent Cup Round 1 cancelled

Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the FIM, Eurosport Events and Motorsport Arena have taken the decision to cancel Speedweek, which was set to take place at Oschersleben from the 4th to the 6th of June 2020. This obliges the cancellation of the NTC Round scheduled to coincide with the event.

As of today, Round 1 of the Northern Talent Cup is therefore set to take place alongside MotoGP™ at the Sachsenring from the 19th to the 21st of June.

Dorna Sports will do everything possible to try and ensure the other six original rounds on the NTC calendar take place, as well as a pre-season test. As previously confirmed, the first NTC round will not take place before a test has been completed. This test will take place a reasonable time before Round 1 to ensure all those involved have adequate time to prepare.

Pursuant to the information from government authorities, Dorna Sports is closely monitoring the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. As the situation remains in a state of constant evolution, a new date for the test and the recently-postponed Austrian Round cannot be confirmed until it becomes clearer when exactly it will be possible to hold these events. A revised calendar will be published as soon as available.
