        With the days flying by and a test day and the first MotoAmerica race of the 2019 season coming up quickly, it became obvious that the SV650 project was running behind.

       At that point, Racing Editor Chris Ulrich made a command decision to pack up everything having to do with the SV650 project and haul it across the country from California to the Team Hammer race shop in Alabama—relatively close to the opening round at Road Atlanta—and to bring in Team Hammer Supersport and Superbike mechanics to help finish the builds.
