PIAGGIO GROUP AMERICAS AWARDS TOP PERFORMING APRILIA, MOTO GUZZI, AND PIAGGIO/VESPA DEALERSHIPS AND IMPORTERS FOR VIP TOUR OF ITALY AND EICMA

OVER 40 PARTICIPANTS BROUGHT TO WITNESS EICMA UNVEILINGS FIRST HAND, WHILE RECEIVING A GUIDED TOUR OF ITALY AND THE PIAGGIO GROUP FACTORIES IN MANDELLO DEL LARIO, NOALE, AND PONTEDERA FOR THE RESPECTIVE BRANDS

New York, NY – Piaggio Group Americas, the Piaggio Group (PIA.MI) associated company with headquarters in New York, celebrated its top performing dealers in terms of total sell-out and improvement during a Spring/Summer Promotional period, bringing two representatives from each dealership to Italy to tour each of the factories for Moto Guzzi in Mandello del Lario, Aprilia in Noale, and Piaggio/Vespa in Pontedera.

“We wanted to give this rare access to this select group of high-performing dealers,” says Mario Di Mario, President and CEO of Piaggio Group Americas, Inc. “There is a passion for motorcycles and scooters in Italy that has to be experienced in person, and from this is where the inspiration of our brands and models begins. Giving the dealership principles and sales managers the additional perspective in visiting the birth place of the brands, and seeing the manufacturing facilities, is an experience I believe invigorates their interest in our brands, and will not soon be forgotten.”

Piaggio Group unveiled key models at EICMA, the pinnacle motorcycling show held in Milan each year, with announcement of the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 and Shiver 900, Moto Guzzi V7III range which includes a limited edition 50th Anniversary Edition to celebrate the original V7, as well as an emission free vehicle concept in Vespa’s Elettrica.

Dealerships in the US and Canada were acknowledged individually by brand in categories of “Top Vehicle Sales” as well as “Most Improved”, those taking home this year’s honors were:
