Shorai to Focus on Environmental Responsibility
Morgan Hill, CA – Shorai Inc., the leader in design, development and manufacture of lithium starter batteries, today announced the launch of an official battery recycling program. As the leader in the lithium battery market, Shorai has recognized that even with the extreme longevity of lithium starter batteries, eventually they will need to be replaced and disposed of in an environmentally conscious way. After an extensive search Shorai has partnered with a U.S. based recycler.
“With the announcement of our new recycling program we are excited to give customers another resource in their continued recycling efforts. At Shorai, we have always been aware of the importance of disposal and recycling of batteries. We hope our new program can raise awareness, and encourage the recycling of lithium starter batteries. To date we have recycled over five tons of lithium starter batteries, and with this new program in place we will be able to do even more,” said Phuc Lam, Marketing Director for Shorai.
Shorai’s investment into the program affirms their continued commitment to the customer and the environment. Shorai will collect (free of charge) all brands of lithium starter batteries, at their Morgan Hill, CA office. Along with the incentives offered to customers who recycle their lithium starter batteries, Shorai will also offer incentives to customers who choose to recycle lead-acid batteries.
