Fastrack Riders launches a Basic Skills Rider Development Program

SAN DIEGO, CA – Fastrack Riders is pleased to announce the kick-off of its Basic Skills Development program that will be held in conjunction with the existing Fastrack Riders track day events at Auto Club Speedway, in Fontana, California. The program is aimed at enhancing riders’ basic skills for street riding, while providing a closed-course area to enhance the new riders skills safely or confidently transition from street riding to entry-level track riding.

“We’ve put together a program that consists of drills that emphasize the right skills for helping the everyday street rider’s confidence in maneuvering their motorcycle safely and effectively. It’s NOT about racing and/or going fast at this stage. It’s about the fundamentals to generate competent street riders or help in the transition step from street riding to track riding,” said Louis Jutras, Fastrack Instructor and USMCA certified coach.

The program will be held in the parking lot of Auto Club Speedway during Fastrack Riders events and will offer affordable morning or afternoon options with on-bike slow speed drills, classroom lectures and one-on-one coaching.

“This program was created to improve the fundamental skills of new and returning riders of all ages. Our goal is to make the transition from riding on the street to riding on the racetrack less intimidating,” added former professional road racer and current USMCA-certified rider coach Chris Ulrich

The program was beta tested earlier in 2020 and resulted in positive reviews from participants:

“I was really impressed with the professionalism and enthusiasm all around.” Manuel (Mani) Franquez

“I had a great time. Learned a lot.” Kevin Gebuza
