Free Monster Energy Fans’ Thursday to kick off MCE British Superbike spectacular at Brands Hatch

Brands Hatch is gearing up for its biggest event of the summer next weekend (August 5/6/7) when the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship arrives in Kent for its annual ‘Big Brands Bash! The festivities will kick off with Monster Energy Fans’ Thursday (August 4), with free access to the venue for spectators and the chance to meet the stars of the show.

The summer MCE BSB event on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit is one of the highlights of the season, and the circuit will fully open its gates and campsites at midday on Thursday, allowing fans to have exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the teams and riders free of charge ahead of the opening practice sessions on Friday.

The build up to the weekend commences at the Monster Energy rig from 2pm, when Eurosport’s Matt Roberts will be hosting live and exclusive interviews with MCE BSB riders, bringing you all the latest news throughout the afternoon until 5pm. The Monster Energy rig will also be the best place to meet the riders for autographs and photos between sessions.

The pitlane will also be accessible from 3pm for two hours, giving everyone the chance to get closer to the Superbikes as the teams prepare for the sixth round of the season. Plus, from 5pm to 6pm, the gates will be thrown open to the Grand Prix circuit itself for an official track walk open to all.

The famous Kentagon Bar and Restaurant and other food and drink units will be open all afternoon and into the night, making it the perfect start to the Big Brands Bash weekend.

MCE BSB Series Director Stuart Higgs said: “The summer Superbike event at Brands Hatch has been one of the highlights of the season for as long as I remember, so we are delighted that in partnership with Monster Energy we can confirm the return of the very popular Fans’ Thursday event.

“As a series we really want to deliver the best experiences for our fans and this event is the perfect chance to really get amongst the teams, meet the riders and enjoy an afternoon of Q&As plus walk the track to set the stage perfectly for the weekend.”
