Fastrack Riders Academy & Apex Club Celebrates Inaugural European Track Experience
FONTANA, CA (June 23, 2016) — Fastrack Riders Academy & Apex Club customers and staff are celebrating the success of their inaugural European Track Experience in a homecoming this weekend at Auto Club Speedway, in Fontana, California.
Proving that it’s more than a trackday provider, Fastrack organized and recently hosted five days of exclusive riding experiences at three famous MotoGP and World Superbike circuits: Jerez, in Spain; Portugal’s Portimão and Mugello, in Italy.
Making like jet-setting factory riders, all these Fastrack enthusiasts had to do was pack their leathers and fly to Europe. Instead of hauling their bikes to the track, setting up their pits and fending for themselves, once arriving at each circuit, they were escorted to the bikes they reserved. These racetrack-ready motorcycles were on bike stands, equipped with warm race tires and ready to roll.
Fastrack customer, Aaron Ascher, from Corona, California, an expert racer and former WERA West champion, summed it up best: “This trip was just the beginning of my bucket list. Now I want to ride all of the MotoGP tracks!”
Fastrack’s hands-on owner, Imad Samhat, was pleased to announce that the inaugural European Track Experience was a resounding success with zero crashes: “I’d like to thank our amazing customers for keeping all the bikes rubber-side-down while going fast and having a great time. We’ve received many requests to do it again next year and are already planning the second-annual trip. We look forward to continue providing customers with life-lasting Fastrack experiences.”
Due to past experience at foreign circuits, as well as his fluency in Portuguese and Italian, Fastrack instructor Ademar Nunes was the ringleader. “It wasn’t easy but I enjoyed pulling together the pieces for this trip. I’d ridden these circuits before, but it was incredible to share the experience — on and off the track — with an amazing group of guys who have become great friends.”
Fastrack Riders Academy & Apex Club is the official motorcycle trackday organization at Auto Club Speedway. Known since 1989 as Fastrack Riders, the Academy and Apex Club monikers were added this year to better reflect its unique educational and extracurricular activities that make every day a multi-layered event for sportbikers to enjoy in an open, friendly, club-like atmosphere.
Fastrack is hosting 25 motorcycle trackdays in 2016. New for this year is Fastrack on 4 Wheels, a weekend for sports car drivers in December that will wrap up another great season.
