The FIM MotoGP World Championship and FIM Superbike World Championship will continue to be broadcast on NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) in the United States in 2021.

That’s the word from Andrea Gilirribó, Media Facilities & Production Coordinator for the FIM MotoGP World Championship, and Benjamin Cobb, Communications & Brand PR Manager for the FIM Superbike World Championship.

Roadracingworld.com checked on the status of the broadcast plans of MotoGP and World Superbike due to recent reports by CNN Business and The Wall Street Journal that NBCUniversal was shutting down NBCSN at some point in 2021 and moving the network’s content to USA Network and the new streaming service Peacock, which are both owned by NBCUniversal.

NBCUniversal has not officially announced these plans, however.

“Even if NBC Sports Network disappears, NBC [Universal] will still have the rights to broadcast MotoGP this season,” Gilirribó wrote in an email.

Roadracingworld.com will share details of the 2021 MotoGP and World Superbike TV broadcast schedules when they become available.

Dorna, commercial rights holder of the MotoGP and Superbike World Championships, sells streaming video subscriptions to both series that provide content far beyond what is available on network television in the U.S.
