The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team is ready for a new challenge in Aragon

After two overseas rounds, the WorldSBK Championship is ready to resume action in Europe, starting from Aragon (Spain). The Motorland track is associated with an unforgettable moment for the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, which last year scored a historic first win for the Panigale R in WorldSBK with Chaz Davies. Both the Welshman and Davide Giugliano count the circuit outside Alcañiz among their favorites, and are ready to make the most of it to climb the general standings, where they provisionally sit in fourth and sixth place respectively.

After the Thai round, characterized by a technically challenging track where the Panigale R still clinched a podium in Race Two with Davies (third), the team’s campaign is ready to resume with renewed momentum, also thanks to some technical upgrades that will be tested in Valencia ahead of the race weekend.

Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #7)

“In Thailand we had to play defense a bit; however, considering the issues we faced, we did a good job and collected important points. We’re ready to bounce back in Aragon, which is one of my favorite tracks and triggers some great memories, especially my first win with Ducati. The circuit suits my style and I was often able to ride at my best there. I also can’t wait to try the latest upgrades, which theoretically should mark another step in the right direction. So, I approach this round with confidence, even though the competition is always strong.”

Davide Giugliano (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #34)

“I’ve always liked the Aragon track, especially since we started to use the layout without the final hairpin. My last time on a bike there dates back to over a year ago, during the winter tests, but I remember we were really competitive. Since then, the Panigale R has evolved quite a lot, and I have changed as well, working hard to make the most of experience and speed. The championship is just about to get more intense. We’ve been working well so far, so we just need to be patient to reap the rewards. The chemistry with my new team increases day after day, and I’m sure that all together we’ll be able to make a difference.”
