Dentsu Aegis Network Extends Sports Marketing Proposition with Acquisition of Alesport Group in Spain

Dentsu Aegis Network today announces the acquisition of Alesport Group (“Alesport”), a well-established sports and events marketing and brand activation specialist in Spain. This acquisition will consolidate and extend a diverse portfolio of services within Dentsu Aegis Network Spain as well as further strengthening its global proposition in sports and event marketing.

Founded in 1975 by Jaime Alguersuari, Alesport has a strong reputation in the Spanish market as a leader in the sports and event industry. The agency has managed some of the largest national and international sports events and brand activations, including the Zurich Barcelona Marathon, Half Marathon of Barcelona eDreams, World Series Renault / business Formula V8 3.5, Superprestigio Dirt Track, Non Stop Series Powerade MTB, GAES Titan and Titan Desert by Garmin Tropic Cuba by GAES.

Following the acquisition, Jaime Alguersuari, founder and current President of Alesport Group, will continue to lead his successful business with support from Alesport’s current management team – including Juan Porcar Garcia, CEO of Alesport, and Carlos Martin Rigol, CFO of Alesport.
