Pirelli Continues with Successful Road Race “Bounty” Program for New Absolute Track Records in 2016
Rome, Ga. (USA), 29 December 2015 – Pirelli Tire North America announced today, in collaboration with Pirelli road racing vendors, that it will continue to offer a “Bounty” – a $500 Pirelli tire voucher – to riders who set a new absolute motorcycle track record on Pirelli race compound tires during a 2016 race sanctioned event*.
This “Bounty” is valid for qualifying riders at race sanctioned events, including the AFM, ASRA, ASMA, CCS, CMRA, CVMA, CRA, Moto Series, Moto West GP, MOM, MRA, MCRA, OMRRA, SMRI, USBA, WMRRA, and WERA sanctioned events.
“The results speak for themselves as nine track records were broken by Pirelli riders in 2015,” said Jeff Johnston, Pirelli’s NA Roadrace manager. “We feel this ‘Bounty” program is a great way to reward these riders and their results. For 2016, we will be continuing this well-received program and will be offering a total of 10 ‘Bounties’ worth $5,000.”
To qualify for the “Bounty”:
The rider and bike must have been using Pirelli race compound tires when the record is broken.
The race club must verify the new absolute motorcycle track record and Pirelli tire use. Pirelli and the vendor will confirm the new record with said race official.
If the lap record is broken more than once at a specific sanctioned race event, the last and fastest record will get the “Bounty” (Capped at one “Bounty” per race at this event weekend).
The vendor will present the “Bounty” voucher to the rider at the vendor’s next race event.
Track day and open practice days are not eligible for riders to claim the “Bounty.”
The “Bounty” is limited to the first 10 riders to qualify in 2016.
* Additional terms and conditions may apply with respect to the use of the tire voucher.
