MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North America Superbike racer Chris Ulrich raised more money for the Roadracing World Action Fund by giving rides on the back of his two-seat Superbike to 36 donors on Sunday at Auto Club Speedway. The event, held in conjunction with a Fastrack Riders track day, brought the total number of people who have taken a two-seat Superbike ride on a racetrack with Ulrich to 900, without incident. Ulrich covered 87 laps with passengers on the back of his GEICO Suzuki GSX-R1000–about 200 miles–during the day.

The event raised $2,145 for the Roadracing World Action Fund (RWAF), a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to deploying soft barriers to help reduce rider injuries at racetracks nationwide. In the last decade, Ulrich has raised about $52,000 for the RWAF by giving two-seat Superbike rides on the racetrack.

In addition, racer Tony Serra made a $200 donation but did not take a two-seat Superbike ride.

Dunlop supplied tires for the fund-raiser, including KR448 front and KR449 7455-compound rear slicks.

During the racing season, Ulrich gives rides on his two-seat Superbike to broadcasters and reporters prior to MotoAmerica Superbike weekends, to help them understand and get excited about motorcycle road racing.

The 2015 Suzuki GSX-R1000 Superbike has been modified to carry a passenger and makes 190 horsepower at the rear wheel. It has reached 170 mph with a passenger at Auto Club Speedway.
