Jeremy Kann appointed as MA acting CEO

Motorcycling Australia (MA) is pleased to announce that Jeremy Kann has been appointed to the role of acting CEO, while the recruitment process to fill the executive position takes place.

Kann brings a wealth of knowledge to the role with over 25 years experience in sport and major events, and he currently runs his own business – LIME (Leaders In Major Events).

Kann has worked in positions at the Australian MotoGP, Australian F1 Grand Prix, Tough Mudder and various AFL football clubs and has worked with brands such as Ducati, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, Coca Cola and Red Bull.

Speaking about his appointment, Kann said that he is excited to be working with everyone at MA as the organisation continues to make positive changes.

“It has all happened pretty quickly, and I am very excited,” he said.

“This role is all about trying to get MA heading in the right direction and improving the sport across all facets, and I am excited about what lies ahead.

“There are a lot of great people within the sport, and there are a lot of good things that are going well.

“So I think we need to continue focusing on the good things, look at how we can improve, and the areas that need review – let’s review them, let’s be open and transparent about the review, and let’s make agreed changes between the Board and the sport generally.”

The appointment of Kann enables the MA Board to progress its implementation of the Whole Of Sport Review findings, and to put plans together to set the national strategic direction of the organisation.

The announcement comes a day after the appointments of Peter Goddard and Steve James to the Board of MA.
