Pirelli Moto Riders continue road racing success with two new track records and “bounties”
Rome, Georgia (USA), 5 June 2015 – Pirelli riders have capped off another busy and successful month in May, with Ryan Sutton claiming his second Pirelli bounty for the season and Jason Farrell his first.
Ryan Sutton is on a tear in 2015, achieving his second bounty on his Superbike Underground backed Suzuki GSXR1000 by setting a new motorcycle lap record of (1:38.829) at the Ridge Motorsports Park during the May 24 WMRRA race at Shelton WA.
Equally impressive was Farrell Performance backed Jason Farrell, who set a new track record (1:03.555) during the May 3 CCS race at the Autobahn Country Club North Course in Joliet, IL.
“What is interesting is that Jason’s record was set on 3 race old Pirelli Diablo™ Superbike SC1 front and rear slicks -a testament to the performance and longevity of these products. Pirelli congratulates Ryan and Jason for their new track records – this now equals five new track record “bounties” in 2015, with more than half the season still yet to come,” stated Jeff Johnston the Pirelli North America Road Race Manager.
A collaboration between Pirelli Tire North America and Pirelli Road Racing vendors, the “bounty” is a $500 Pirelli tire voucher offered to riders who set a new absolute motorcycle track record on Pirelli tires during a 2015 Race Sanctioned Event*.
* Additional terms and conditions may apply with respect to the use of the tire voucher.
