Birmingham, Ala. – The top Superbike racers in North America return to Barber Motorsports Park this June with the MotoAmerica (AMA/FIM) Superbike Challenge. MotoAmerica, the new home of the AMA Superbike Series, will host Round 5 of this national racing series at Barber Motorsports Park June 12-14. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased online at www.barbermotorsports.com.

The country’s best motorcycle racers will battle it out on the world’s fastest production-based motorcycles on the state-of-the-art Barber Motorsports Park track. Four-time Superbike champ Josh Hayes will lead the pack as the Superbikes scorch the earth at speeds approaching 200 mph. The weekend will include two full days of racing – a double-header event – for the Superbike, Superstock 1000, Supersport and Superstock 600 classes, plus other support races. In addition, the paddock will be open to fans, so you can check out the teams at work and get autographs from all the big stars. Add in vendors, great food and more, and it’s the must-do weekend of the year.

“We are extremely excited about working with MotoAmerica, which has made it possible for the event to return to the world-famous Barber Motorsports Park,” stated George Dennis, president of ZOOM Motorsports, the exclusive event promoter of the Barber Motorsports Park. “Although Triumph will not be the title sponsor this year, we are still very much so in partnership with them and will continue to work on growing that relationship.”’

Barber Motorsports Park has hosted an AMA Superbike series event since its opening in 2003 making it a staple in the Superbike racing calendar. MotoAmerica, a professional racing series sanctioned by the AMA and FIM North America, will begin a new era and holds the title sponsorship rights of the former Triumph Superbike Classic for the 2015 event.

“Professional motorcycle road racing belongs at Barber Motorsports Park, which is without question the country’s premier motorcycling facility,” said Matt Sheahan, COO of Triumph Motorcycles America. “We’re pleased that ZOOM Motorsports and the new MotoAmerica series were able to reach an agreement. Triumph looks forward to still being an associate partner with this event, and rooting on the Triumph riders with our staff, retailers and customers in June.”
