VETMotorsports concludes their collaboration with Columbus Love this Friday from 4 to 7 pm with their “Full Battle Rattle” tap room event at the Four String Brewing Company, located at 985 W 6th Ave, Columbus, Ohio. Since February 7th VETMotorsports, in conjunction with Columbus Love, hasraised over $1600. VETmotorsports is a Columbus, Ohio based not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization which will embeds disabled veterans into motor sports activities. The non-clinical outreach program focuses on Afghanistan and Iraq veterans and assist veterans throughout the United States.
During the “Full Battle Rattle” VETMotorsports will auction off items, Columbus Love will be selling shirts and proceeds from beers purchased willbenefit VETMotorsports. A short documentary film about veteran recovery was debuted on February 7th, filmed at the 2014 Indy Mile by a disabled veteran film crew. The film draws attention to the current Iraq/Afghanistan veteran suicide rate of 22 veterans per day and the positive effects of placing veterans into motorsports. Columbus Love has been donating the majority of their t-shirt proceed sales to VETMotorsports as February’s local community project. Every t-shirt sold by Columbus Love will go directly towards the funding VETMotorsports’ non-clinical outreach programming.
