JESSOPP FIRED UP FOR NEW MCE BRITISH SUPERBIKE CAMPAIGN

Martin Jessopp will return to the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship this season and is determined to battle back into the top ten for the RidersMotorcycles.com BMW team.

Jessopp started the 2014 season with solid results, including a pair of twelfth places from the opening two rounds. A crash at the Isle of Man TT however, left the Yeovil-based rider nursing a shoulder injury that sidelined him from the Snetterton and Knockhill events.

The RidersMotorcycles.com BMW rider fought back during the season to secure his best qualifying position of the year, with a ninth place at Assen, and he scored points in the second race at the Dutch circuit.

Jessopp said: “I can’t wait to get started – this is our third year with the BMW and everyone knows it’s a proven package in the championship. Last year we were building up at the start of the season and then I got injured at the TT, which meant I missed some rounds and was recovering.

“I think that once we get testing underway we can build on the development we have done over the past two seasons to come back stronger. We have some improvements lined up to keep us moving forward so we can push further up the field. We have done it before and there is no reason why we can’t do it again. It won’t be easy but we will be pushing hard to make it happen.”
