Friday Product Feature: Woodcraft Key Switch Elimination Harness

Woodcraft’s new Key Switch Elimination Harness allows racers and track day riders to save weight and create space by cleanly and easily removing the ignition key switch from their bikes without cutting any wires.

Owners of certain models of motorcycles can now unplug and remove their ignition key switch, plug the Woodcraft Key Switch Elimination Harness into the switch gear on their right handle bar and turn their kill switch into their new ignition switch.

Removing the ignition key switch could save up to 1.5 pounds, according to Woodcraft, and create much needed space for a lap timer or steering damper. And you’ll never have to worry about losing your ignition key again.

And if an owner wants to return their track day or road race machine back into a streetbike, all they have to do is unplug the Woodcraft Key Switch Elimination Harness, remount their OEM ignition switch and plug it back in.

Woodcraft Key Switch Elimination Harnesses are currently available for 2010 and newer Kawasaki Z1000s, 2011 and newer Kawasaki ZX-10Rs, 2013 and newer Kawasaki ZX-6Rs, 2005 and newer Suzuki GSX-R1000s, 2006 and newer Suzuki GSX-R600s and GSX-R750s, 2002 and newer Yamaha YZF-R1s, and 2006 and newer Yamaha YZF-R6s.

Suggested retail price is $45.99.

Woodcraft Key Switch Elimination Harnesses are available at Woodcraft dealers or directly from Woodcraft at www.woodcraft-cfm.com or by calling 978-297-2977 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Friday.
