“Wheels for Wheels” Fundraiser With Fastrack Riders A Huge Success!

Friction Racing Products owner John Chen and Fastrack Riders owner David Pyles sponsored an event with The Dare to Be Project founder and Olympic medal-winning cyclist Amber Neben to donate bicycles this Christmas to a group of Southern California students enrolled in a distressed program. The fundraiser/raffle event concluded at the 10/26/14 Fastrack Riders event and raised over $4,000.

We would like to thank all the Sponsors that donated to the event – Fastrack Riders, Chicken Hawk Racing, ChaChaCha Motorsports, ACT Racing Leathers and StompGrip. We would also like to thank all the people who purchased raffle tickets and congratulate the winners of the awesome prizes.

Special thanks to Matt Ford, owner of Rock N’ Road Cyclery in Orange County, for helping us acquire Specialized bicycles and helmets for the kids, and special thanks to Gigi Chow from Venus Foods, Inc. for her tremendous efforts in the fundraiser.

Our next step is to assemble the bikes and then schedule the delivery date with the target school. If you would like to help assemble the bikes, please contact John Chen at [email protected]. 949-285-3972 The build date will be Saturday, Dec. 6, and the location of the build will be in Orange County. We are working with the school to set up a delivery date right before Xmas. Amber Neben will deliver a special inspirational message to the kids along with the bikes.
