Dorna Sports S.L., the commercial rights holder of the MotoGP™ World Championship, are pleased to announce a collaboration to support young Australian riders on their way to the top in motorcycle racing by endorsing the motoDNA Academy.

Dorna are also the commercial rights holders and organizers of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship, the FIM CEV Repsol Championship and the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup as well as co-organizer of the MotoGP Red Bull Rookies Cup and have a strong emphasis on developing young riding talent.

The motoDNA Academy has been driving junior road racer development in Australia over the last few years assisting young riders onto the international stage through Moto3™ and Moto2™ Grand Prix wild cards, the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup trials.

Indeed 15 of the Australian riders entered at the recent 2015 Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup Selection Event in Sepang had been through the motoDNA Junior Development Program.

The motoDNA Academy has an accomplished coaching team comprising five former MotoGP racers and two MotoGP engineers, including Kevin Magee, Garry McCoy, Chris Vermeulen, Mark Willis and Peter Goddard.

Javier Alonso, Dorna Managing Director commented: “We are very happy to endorse the motoDNA Academy as one of the racing projects recognised for its support to young riders. We believe the racing programme that motoDNA runs in Australia, which now will also benefit from the assistance of Alberto Puig, is the best way to secure a successful route to the feeder series for the MotoGP World Championship. The collaboration between motoDNA and Alberto Puig, who has a proven eye for spotting talented riders, will ensure the project to be a great success.”

motoDNA CEO Mark McVeigh said, “The motoDNA ethos is to deliver skills and inspiration, enabling riders to realize their motorcycling dreams. This is especially important with our juniors, and exposure to the MotoGP paddock, riders, teams and engineers, which strengthens their motivation to compete at the highest level. Its an honour to receive accreditation from Dorna as we expand our program in the Asia Pacific region.”
