Krummenacher and Team JiR on top in testing

Randy Krummenacher and Team JiR began their work for the 2015 season in style by topping the timesheets at the recent Moto2 test in Jerez.

With the weather being variable at the Spanish circuit, the pace was far from that of the lap record, but Randy was able to use slick tyres in this Team JiR Moto2 machine in the final hour to snatch the top ranking on the last day out of the 18 attendees.

Testing now moves to Valencia for two days of action on 17 and 18 November.

Gianluca Montiron, Team JiR team principal: “During these three days we have had uncertain weather conditions in Jerez and this is something we will have also during the World Grand Prix year therefore I must consider always that it is a positive the test and the fact that the rider has adapted quickly to the different track conditions is very encouraging. Considering the schedule we revised our working plan concentrating on Randy’s familiarisation with our system to operate with us using two different chassis. Considering the previous results and our team experience we are orientated to proceed on the way we know well and let’s see the last test of season before winter time that could make some important news for us.”

Randy Krummenacher, 2015 Team JiR rider: “We weren’t lucky because of the weather for the most time over the duration of these three days the track conditions were more mixed with dry parts of the track, but too wet for slicks. The target was to ride as much as possible to get a feeling for the bikes and during the last hour of last day I enjoyed to stay on the track having a good feeling with the TSR chassis. With my new JiR team I have a positive feeling considering their skill and professionalism. A lot of work is waiting for us during winter time starting from the Valencia test of the coming week.”
