Two SoCal Motorcycle Icons, Newcombs Ranch and Pro Italia Motorcycles, To Be Sharing Space on Angeles Crest Highway

Los Angeles, CA – Pro Italia, one of the foremost sport bike destination dealers in the country, and located in Glendale California, announced that it has opened a store at the iconic Newcombs Ranch on Angeles Crest Highway. This new Pro Italia store will be open on weekends from 8:30AM PST to 3:00PM PST. Currently the store is undergoing a renovation expected to be completed by November 29th. The store will carry a full line of apparel for the motorcycle rider and, shortly, apparel for the bicyclist and auto driver. In addition the store will showcase, on a rotating basis, classic and current motorcycles.

If you ride motorcycles in SoCal you’re probably already familiar with Newcombs Ranch (newcombsranch.com). Newcomb’s Ranch is a roadhouse at 5,340 feet in elevation in the Angeles National Forest, near Los Angeles, California. It is the only private property along the Angeles Crest Highway and is very popular with motorcyclists. It’s been called “the informal headquarters for riders” by the Los Angeles Magazine and “one of Southern California’s most famous Roadhouses” by Motorcyclist. The Crest is a world-class riding road, well-paved, with few entrances, full of twisties, climbs, and descents, and with great views through pine-forested mountains well above the Los Angeles basin. On any weekend, barring rain or snow, hundreds of motorcyclists ride Highway 2, Angeles Crest Highway, and gather at Newcombs Ranch, a classic motorcycle restaurant and bar nestled in the center of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Pro Italia is located just a few miles from the base of The Crest. It was opened 27 years ago to serve riders of Italian motorcycles who came down off the Crest and wanted a friendly place to stop and check out Italian bikes, that were relatively rare on the streets at that time. Over the years Newcombs Ranch and Pro Italia forged a close partnership, culminating in the 2010 Cafe Desmo which attracted nearly a thousand riders for a concert in the woods in the Newcombs Ranch Parking lot

“With such a close relationship over many years, it only seemed to make sense to open a shop at Newcombs Ranch. For sure we won’t have any trouble staffing it as everyone at Pro Italia loves the ride to Newcombs and the food”, says Bill Nation, Dealer Principal of Pro Italia. “We’ll have some great apparel, accessories and conveniences for riders such as air, fluids, cleaning items and more”, Bill continued. “Frankly, we are thrilled to open this store at Newcombs Ranch, one of the great motorcycle stops in all of California and on one of the great riding roads in all of the US” added Bob Berkow, Bill’s partner.
