Three Elements Top Athletes Share

In this new video series, REV’IT! dissects the mind, body, and soul of three top motorcycle racers. Alonso López, Augusto Fernández, and Danilo Petrucci share their personal stories of success.

The dictionary defines an athlete as someone who is skilled or trained in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical agility, stamina, or strength. Reaching the pinnacle of a particular discipline, however, requires something more: exceptional strength of mind, excellent body control, and an unrelenting drive from deep within the soul. In this three-part video series, REV’IT! assigned three of its athletes one element in which they excel and asked how they believe that element is reflected in themselves.

Augusto Fernández — Body

Once Augusto Fernández begins to build momentum, the 25-year-old Spaniard is tough to catch and even more difficult to beat. A realist with an intelligent and practical approach to racing, Fernández is the kind of rider who does not shy away from hard work; he certainly has come a long way since his father bought him his first bike when he was six years old. Following a non-traditional trajectory to MotoGP, Fernández used production-based competition to kickstart his career. Crowned European Junior Cup Champion in 2014, the Madrid-born Mallorcan found his groove in Moto2, ultimately claiming the middleweight world title in 2022 and achieving his childhood dream of reaching Grand Prix racing’s premier class.
