WorldSBK: Rea Leads Tight FP1 At Donington Park

Jonathan Rea of Northern Ireland led a tight opening World Superbike practice Friday morning at Donington Park, in England. Riding his factory Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR, Rea led the field of 24 with a lap time of 1:27.627 around the 2.5-mile (4.0 km) road course.

Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu was second-best with a 1:27.679 on his Pata Yamaha Prometeon YZF-R1.

Third-fastest in the session was German Philipp Oettl, riding his Team GoEleven Ducati Panigale V4 R, with a 1:27.757.

American Garrett Gerloff was 11th in the session with a time of 1:28.637 on his Bonovo Action BMW M 1000 RR.
