Nine-time and defending Mopar Canadian Superbike Champion Jordan Szoke crashed out of the lead at a CMA-sanctioned Observed Trials Event over the weekend, injuring his right thumb. The severity of the injury is unknown and will impact the decision to ride at the final two rounds of the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship this coming weekend held at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.

“I am extremely disappointed that it will be unlikely to secure our tenth Superbike Championship over the weekend. Particularly because we have the points lead coming into one of my series favorite circuit,” says a crestfallen Szoke. “I am saddened for all our sponsors and fans that come to see us ride at this event, that we may not be able to. I still encourage everyone to come see us as we will be there with full representation.”

Szoke and his team will still be attending Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, signing posters and autographs in the race pits. Szoke’s Extreme Show will be showing off their Observed Trials riders motorcycle skills during the BMW Motorrad Event in the lower paddock.

Jordan leads the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship with 13 points.
