​On-Track Activities At Mid-Ohio Tentatively Scheduled To Resume At 1:00 p.m. Local Time

On-track activities at the Buckeye Superbike Weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course are tentatively scheduled to resume at 1:00 p.m. local time, according to AMA Pro Racing Road Racing Director David McGrath.

In a rider and entrant meeting held at 11:30 a.m. local time, McGrath announced that since precipitation had stopped falling and the track had started drying he had put together a tentative schedule to resume on-track activities.

The tentative schedule calls for a Superbike practice 1:00–1:40 p.m., a Daytona SportBike practice 1:50–2:30 p.m. and a SuperSport practice 2:40–3:20 p.m.

Then a full-length Superbike race (21 laps) would be run starting at 3:30 p.m. and immediately followed by full-length races for Daytona SportBike (19 laps) and then Supersport (15 laps).

All races will be gridded by current point standings and order of entry, said McGrath.

If those events happen on time, a 40-minute practice session for the Harley-Davidson class would be run Saturday evening, after the races.

McGrath said that if there are any delays he will “start trimming” things from the schedule, like pre-race activities and possibly race laps, as necessary.

At post time the racetrack was drying slowly under a completely overcast sky.
