PJ Jacobsen was quickest during MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike Free Practice One (FP1) Friday morning at New Jersey Motorsports Park, in Millville, New Jersey. Riding his Tytlers Cycle Racing BMW M 1000 RR, the New York native lapped the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway in 1:20.967 to lead the field.

Newly crowned three-time Champion Jake Gagne was second-best with a 1:21.075 on his Fresh N Lean Progressive Insurance Yamaha YZF-R1.

Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Richie Escalante was third with a time of 1:21.565 on his GSX-R1000R.

Mathew Scholtz was fourth-fastest at 1:22.515 on his Westby Racing Yamaha.

Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati’s Josh Herrin rounded out the top five in the session with a 1:22.699.
