Cory West Will Make British Superstock Debut Onboard Splitlath Motorsport EBR

American AMA Superbike star Cory West will be joining Splitlath Motorsport at the British Superstock event at Oulton Park as part of the continuing race program being developed between Erik Buell Racing and the Hong Kong based team.

After two very successful events at the Macau Grand Prix and the Isle of Man TT with the superb EBR 1190, Splitlath are keen to put the magnificently engineered machines through their paces at the challenging British circuit.

“This will be hell of a task, coming to such a technical and quirky circuit as Oulton, but that’s why we chose this as our first race in the UK, we need to gain more race data and to get the bike out in different environments.” said team owner John Dimbylow. “Cory is a fantastic rider and can provide back to back comparisons between AMA and BSB which will be extremely useful as we move towards our home event at the Macau GP in November. However, let’s not forget the main reason we are here and that’s because it will be a challenge. A new circuit for Cory, a new circuit for the bike and it will push all of us to the absolute limits among some of the best riders in the world in the harshest of environments, we love it!”

Cory commented, “Getting this opportunity to travel to England and compete in the British Superstock series on the American made EBR 1190 is fantastic! I would like to thank Splitlath and EBR for choosing me to be the rider to debut the American brand to the fans of BSB. I’m thrilled to experience a new circuit and the challenge of racing against unfamiliar faces. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the rumble of the big twin at Oulton Park!”

Fans can follow Cory and the teams progress on Twitter through @Corywest13 and @Splitlath, respectively. For more information on EBR and the amazing motorcycles they produce in America, please visit www.erikbuellracing.com.
