Strider Bikes Donating $100,000 Worth of Balance Bikes to Charity

The company’s largest holiday donation to date is dedicated to organizations in Rapid City, SD

Rapid City, S.D. – Strider Bikes, the leader in kids’ balance bikes, is donating over $100,000 worth of bikes benefitting nearly 650 children in Rapid City, South Dakota, where the company’s headquarters are located.

The donation totaling 645 bikes will be made to local charities including Black Hills Badges for Hope, Working Against Violence, CASA, and the Black Hills Toy Drive, and to children in foster care in Meade and Pennington County. This effort is aimed to benefit children living in a shelter or otherwise lacking resources to balance bikes so they can learn how to ride, exercise, and socialize.

“It’s the first time we’ve done a donation of this size for the holidays. We want to make a family’s day and make a difference in a kid’s life by giving them a confidence-building machine of their very own,” explained Hannah Peterson, the Public Relations Specialist at Strider Bikes.

The bikes will be distributed throughout the community starting this week through the holidays.
