Give Me Moore: BTR Champ Mikayla Moore Will Make Her BellissiMoto Twins Cup Debut This Weekend At Road America

2023 Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. Champion Mikayla Moore will be a very busy rider this weekend. Along with defending her BTR crown in two feature races aboard her number-one Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, Moore will make her debut in the BellissiMoto Twins Cup Championship aboard a Rodio Racing – Powered by Robem Engineering Aprilia RS 660. The announcement was made by team partner Kevin Rodio.

“We’re excited to have Mikayla aboard one of our Aprilia RS 660s this weekend at Road America,” Rodio said. “We’ve known Mikayla and her family for years, and they’re great people. This is going to be a fun weekend. Special thanks to Royal Enfield for enabling us to put Mikayla on a Twins Cup bike.”

Moore went undefeated in all seven races that made up last year’s BTR Championship, and two weekends ago at Barber Motorsports Park, she extended her winning streak to nine races with her double win in the opening round of the 2024 Royal Enfield BTR Championship. Last year at New Jersey Motorsports Park, during the final weekend of the 2023 MotoAmerica Championship, Moore finished 14th in each of the two Junior Cup races she competed in for Karns Performance. She’s excited to be competing in two different race classes and four individual races this weekend at Road America.

“I’m super excited to be doing double duty this weekend on two different platforms,” Moore said. “I’m used to riding different platforms during club racing, so, to be able to showcase my talent in MotoAmerica between the two classes, I’m stoked. Thanks to the Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. program for giving me the platform to showcase my skills on the Royal Enfield that afforded me the opportunity to ride in another class. Thank you, also, to Rodio Racing – Powered by Robem Engineering for giving me the opportunity to step up in the BellissiMoto Twins Cup.”

Last weekend at Summit Point Motorsports Park in Summit Point, West Virginia, Moore had an opportunity to test the Rodio Racing – Powered by Robem Engineering Aprilia RS 660 that she’ll be racing this weekend, and she said, “The test last weekend went better than I expected. I did a full day of practice with MARRC trackdays getting a feel for the new-to-me bike, and despite it being set up for rain, Kendall from Triple T suspension worked with me all day to get it sorted out. My best time at the end of the day was a 1:19.8, but I knew it had more. Come race weekend with a few more adjustments, I was able to pull off a personal best of 1:17.2. The Rodio Racing – Powered by Robem Engineering bike felt incredible.”

Look for all three Rodio Racing – Powered by Robem Engineering riders on the grid this weekend as current points leader Gus Rodio (#96) and his teammate Alessandro Di Mario (#27) are joined by #78 Mikayla Moore. BellissiMoto Twins Cup Qualifying 1 gets underway on Friday at 2:10 p.m., Qualifying 2 is Saturday at 10:05 a.m., Race 1 is at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, and Race 2 is on Sunday at 1:25 p.m.
