RoadRace Factory Announces AMA SuperSport Rider Line-up

The RoadRace Factory is pleased to announce that we have finalized our rider line-up for the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing Season. We have already confirmed that Jake Gagne and Tomas Puerta will be our Daytona Sportbike Riders, and now we are happy to confirm that our SuperSport line-up will utilize the skills and talents of Cameron Gish and Felipe MacLean.

Cameron Gish of Shingle Springs, CA has been working hard and winning races since his Red Bull Rookies Cup debut in 2008. In 2011 he joined the AFM and obtained 4 race wins in the 600 production class on his way to a solid 2nd place in the championship. 2012 saw Cameron make the jump to AMA Pro Road Racing and was a podium contender until injury shortened his season in both AMA and AFM series’. For the 2013 AFM season, Cameron showed what he is truly capable of by dominating the field; Seven Championships, 14 total wins across classes, and five other podiums. He currently holds the #1 plate in AFM Superbike 600 Class, Production 750 Class, Superbike 750 Class.

Felipe MacLean hails from Miami, FL and will be utilizing the talents he has been showcasing in the CCS Series to fight for race wins in the AMA Pro Road Racing SuperSport class. Felipe is no stranger to the Road Race Factory paddock; he joined the team for limited rounds in 2013 and began to get accustomed to the Yamaha R6. Felipe first stepped into AMA Pro Race Racing action in 2012 with the National Guard Superbike series. Since then he has impressed in the CCS Superbike Series, most recently scoring a pair seconds and thirds at Homestead-Miami Raceway for the CCS Season opener.

Danny Walker, team principal stated, “We finally have our full line-up ready to go for Daytona! I can’t say how excited we are to have Cameron and Felipe joining the team this season to help us develop the SuperSport Program even further. I’ve known Cameron for a long time now and watched his career while in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, and this kid is loaded with talent. No doubt in my mind he’ll be fighting for podiums and race wins from the get go.”

“Felipe is a rare find for us. He contacted us last year to help him put together a SuperSport effort for a couple of rounds. He’s a super great guy and a true racer… I mean the guy races Superbikes and then wants to jump on a SuperSport? That shows a lot of character. He’s a proven podium finisher and we’re super excited to help him advance through the ranks in the AMA.”

“It’s on now,” Danny stated. “Daytona is next week and we’re ready to go racing with all our guys in full force. This is our third year in the series and with one championship under our belts, we’re confident we can get another! It’s time to go racin’!”
