Munich – The brand with the elephant logo shows again its commitment and activities concerning road racing competition to provide a rich program of initiatives for motorcyclists.

METZELER will take part in the Isle of Man TT, the North West 200 and Macau Grand Prix, as well as title sponsorship for the second consecutive year of the Ulster Grand Prix and Southern 100 Post TT Races.

METZELER is already working to prepare for the challenges of 2014 with some of the development teams who will be able, like others, to rely on the official support of the “Two Wheel Specialist”.

Among these teams include Tyco Suzuki lead by Guy Martin, the fan favorite who seems to be getting more famous by the year, Mar Train Yamaha of Alastair Seeley, (Current North West 200 Champion) and Kawasaki Quattro Plant with James Hillier, who with METZELER won the 2013 Lightweight class at the Tourist Trophy.

On the occasion of the Isle of Man TT, scheduled from May 24 to June 6, given the success of last year the brand will replicate the ’METZELER Village’ initiative; the exclusive motorcycle camping set up in the center of Douglas a few meters from Quarter Bridge Corner, one of the most exciting corner of the of the TT track, and a few minutes from the seafront. The METZELER Village will open on May 30 and will remain open until the 8th of June, for the whole race week of the Tourist Trophy event.

The village, set up with new 2 or 4 bed tents and equipped with mattresses and electricity, offers its guests private parking for motorcycles, a Wi-Fi zone, a relaxation area equipped with every comfort and the possibility to take advantage of a good cooked breakfast, swimming pool and Spa at the Sports Centre at discounted prices. After the conclusion of the Tourist Trophy, the Southern 100 Post TT Races will be held on Saturday June 7- a competition which was raced for the first time in 1991 and that is spread over a road layout of 6.8 kilometers.

However for METZELER the first round of the season will be the North West 200, scheduled in Northern Ireland from May 10 to 17, which has become one of the biggest sporting events in Ireland and one of the fastest road racing competitions with the participation of the best road racers.

Also located in Northern Ireland, the METZELER Ulster Grand Prix (August 11 to 16) will take place with 50,000 spectators onsite ready to see their idols race on a 11.9 km track at an average speed of 223 km/h, a peculiarity that has made it famous as “the fastest road race in the world”.

The road racing season of METZELER will conclude in November with another atmospheric and historic event for all road racing fans, the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, which kicks off on November 13.
